Google.com Search for the word 'Jew'
brings up an anti-Semitic web site - Will a petition affect search engine
results?
When searching Google.com for the word
'Jew,' the number one result is "www jewwatch" (We do not want to give them the
link as we do not want to help that site in search engine rankings), an
anti-Semitic web site. An email from http://www.removejewwatch.com is
circulating and asking people to sign a petition at
http://www.PetitionOnline.com/rjw23/ to remove the
offensive search engine result.
Google.com has
responded by using their 'Sponsored Links' advertising system with the
following disclaimer: "Offensive Search Results -
http://www.google.com/explanation.html - We're disturbed
about these results as well. Please read our note here." The link takes you to
http://www.google.com/explanation.html which explains how
search engine results work, the fact that Jewish organizations predominately
use the word 'Jewish' and anti-Semitic groups use the word 'Jew', and because
the search engine results are totally automated, petitions will not affect
results.
Boycott Watch accepts the Google.com
explanation of how search engines work, as it corresponds with all other search
results explanations we were able to find. |

Subject: Jewish google Removal !!
When performing a search for the word "Jew" on google.. the first
resultis a site that has been notorious for being anti-semitic..
the site is called jewwatch.com .... Google is the # 1 search site
and the fact that The first search result would yield an
anti-semetic site is all too common in a growing era of increased
Anti Semitism... In order for google to remove this They would need
a petition of over 50,000 requests.... I have setup a polling site,
please scroll down to the bottom to leave your 'signature' ...
